Risk

Risk is controlled trade by trade, and across the account.

  • Position sizes are small relative to NAV and scale down as volatility rises.
  • Stop-losses adapt to volatility and are capped.
  • Every position has a maximum holding period.
  • Drawdown thresholds, set before inception, trigger a formal review.

Record

Published every day, from the exchange’s own records.

The documents the record is kept by, identified by their SHA-256

  1. 23:59:59 UTC

The account is valued, open positions at the exchange’s mark price.

  2. The next day

A public workflow calculates the day’s return and publishes it.

  3. The same commit

Every file of the day is hashed, and the hashes are timestamped on Bitcoin.

  4. The third of the month

The previous month’s Monthly Report is published, whatever its result.

  5. At any time

Allocators may read the account directly, under NDA, with a read-only key of their own.

How the figures are produced and checked

For allocators.

Under a non-disclosure agreement, institutional allocators can go beyond the published track record to review the investment thesis behind it and supporting performance data.

  • The investment thesis, and why the edge is expected to persist
  • Responses to your due diligence questionnaire
  • Read-only access to the account
  • The exchange’s own transaction records, individual fills and trade statistics
  • The daily records as received from the exchange, against their published hashes
